So, I guess you're not supposed to be chugging protein shakes only after a workout. You're supposed to be eating carbohydrates as well. If you're not eating carbohydrates as well as consuming proteins after a workout, then you're not hitting your macros and you're not going to grow. Seems I've been doing exactly that for longer than I should have and completely forgot about carbs. I guess that's why they're called supplements and not whole meals. I feel embarassed, sort of. I don't keep track of macros really, but if you're not eating a healthy amount of carbohydrates that go along with your protein intake, then you might as well stop working out because you're not going to get big.
