My calves only started growing after I gained a ton of weight during Covid and then started walking everywhere for hours and hours. Walking grows your calves.

My bf said all fat people have big calves because they have to carry all the weight

Think about how much weight a person does on a calf raise machine and then think about how much force their calves have to produce, then compare that to the amount of force an obese persons calves have to produce in order for them to not fall over, it’s pretty comparable.

That's why calf raises are a waste of time, time better spent running in flat shoes to train both calves and cardio.

The ultimate blackpill for poweshitters and body builders is that running is the best way to grow your calves. Look at any pro soccer player and then compare against natty gym builds of the same height.

There's an anon in the mire thread with insane calves and apparently never has worked out and just walks around at 200 pounds.

soccer sodomites are walking most of the time, on flat, without any weight
>>76488048
yes i think about it a lot bot, u are not standing on your tippy toes while walking, u are bending ankle like in calf raises but u are also bending knee at the same time - THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT HAPPENS IN CALF RAISES - it is therefore NOT the same movement lol :D
and since we've already established walking on flat may build calves:

>Walking grows your calves.
walking on flat, without weight, where your head stays leveled
>but i got fat in my made up scenario human
irrelevant - your weight is evenly distributed while obese, u want to talk hoomans into rucking, carrying backpack of sort which will bend human forward

>but walking till my calves grow seems retarded, isn't there some hypertrophy exercise for my gastrocnemius that bends both ankle and knee at the same time?
sure, the thread is still up lol

that's side view of gastrocnemius, when u try calf raising this muscle is continuously poked by bones of knee joint and it doesn't like that, it's also conjoined with soleus at ahilles tendon so u ain't getting that either with calf raises, nor with rooning barefoot uphill with a backpack lol

This is true, I mostly referenced running because when I was a rooner my calves were absolutely massive, but that may be because I ran exclusively in racing flats with an 8mm drop, and kicked my legs really heavily behind me, kicking off of the ground and using my calves.

>nor with rooning barefoot uphill with a backpack lol
either of those bot separately, i just buched em together for comedic effect but u went as far as advocating just that
rooning does not utilize gastrocnemius well either because it uses mostly tendon elasticity of calves
heel hook bitchen botten gpt-en :D heelhook grows gastrocnemius:
>>76488947
>>>76481967
>>>76482026
>gastrocnemius grows from heel-hook
>heel-hook is when u point toees and bend knee
>so ya lie on your back in front of table, u place heels on table and point toes and lift your lower body up by bending knees

and u're not jakob jngebritsen and u're hunched forward when u roon and u're not using gastrocnemius as much because of that bad skeletal alignment in rooning

walking with bad posture also won't do anything to gastrocnemius :D
