You need to hit the anabolic window of 20 to 50 minutes after a workout in order to fuel gain. If you don't eat protein during your anabolic window, then your workout was useless.

Eat protein and not carbs. If you eat carbs, you have to use them in about half an hour or they'll be stored as fat.
What you do is good, you just need to eat things that are not desserts or deep fried fast food

I hear you. I started getting tiny white spots on my hands after walking 4-7 miles after a couple months. Cuz I wasn’t fueling properly but if I did I lost no weight.

By "exercise to death" do you mean zone 3 and 4 cardio?
Lift weights 2 to 4 times a week, don't try to set new records just reach some situation where you're going 80% intensity and maintain while you're losing weight.
For cardio just fucking lmao walk 10-12k stepsor 12-15% treadmill 3mph 30-50 minutes.
Everyone thinks that they're going to beat thermodynamics and just cortisol maxes Goggins style.
