I picked up cycling after someone on fit told me to do it when my squats and legs overall started to stagnate, it's now my favorite leg exercise. A stationary bike on high resistance for 15-30 minutes of hiit.

If you combined the two you'd be golden. You can even cycle on your toes, something i've been doing naturally outside for years and my calves look pretty decent
