Genuinely what the fuck is up with my body. I can individually feel the connection to my muscle yet every exercise targeting them targets something else

You're probably using too much weight. When you brace yourself other muscles take over.
It could also be bad form. Bench press is a lot more technical than people think, if you're comfortable, then you're doing it wrong.

I can help with this one
Next time you bench, let go of the bar when it's over your chest so it bruises or breaks one or more of your upper ribs
After a couple of days pass and the immediate pain is gone, try tricep pushdowns again. You VILL learn to do them right and properly isolate the triceps, because if you let your whole body take over, your injury pain will flare up to the point of making your ears ring
