Mobility
I have a fucked up rotator (probably), my arm hurts when i try to rotate/move my arm up and behind and i have a fucked neck where rotating head to the right feels tight/painful or when i lean my head backwards (eg. washed hair at barber). Any tips? I don't want to get an MRI because it's expensive as fuck here.

Neck is probably just a tight or strained muscle, I have the same shit to a lesser degree on the left side.
Rotator cuff you can do a search to find an "angle of pain" type thing that can help you figure out where the issue is. Also get a pull up bar/rings/tree branch and start doing dead hangs. Just hang there with your shoulders and back relaxed. Apparently the arch over your shoulder can kind of collapse from disuse (if you're not hanging or swinging from branches and shit lol) as the coracoacromial ligament tightens, but deadhangs have your humerus pressing the arch back up and stretching the ligament, and over time it creates more space for your rotator cuff to slide through the shoulder joint, which fixes an impingement. A tear needs time to heal but of course you need to figure out what caused the tear which unless you've had some kind of traumatic injury it's probably from impingement over time tearing shit up. Also strengthen the muscles involved in shoulder movement even the small one like the supraspinatus and infraspinatus or whatever.

Godsend thread, just what I was looking for since I'm having similar issues with my shoulders. My right one has been mostly ok(?), but is clearly the worse of the two, as it hurts to lift my arm straight up above my head, and I can't sleep with my arm above my head at anything greater than a 90 degree angle without pain as well. No prior injury, it's just my dominant arm, and I used to do roofing over the summers, so there was a lot of repetitive motion I guess. It feels like how I would imagine arthritis feels, but surely I'm not old enough for that (31)?
I also recently sustained an injury in my left shoulder/arm where I tripped and fell, and caught myself in a pushup position, but I jerked my left shoulder joint when doing so. I couldn't move it without searing pain, so I thought I got a hairline fracture, but the x-rays didn't show anything. I figured I probably just tore a ligament or a muscle off the bone, and I had to stick it in a sling for like 3 weeks. The pain was bad enough that I had to get buzzed to fall asleep, but I digress: the shoulder was basically as good as new once it was healed. However about 1-2 weeks later, it started to become sore like my right shoulder when lifting it above my head, or lifting anything about 15lbs or more. There's also some wet squelching in there that wasn't there before, but I'm assuming that's just the nature of having scar tissue. At this point I'm just looking for some light work exercises to maybe strengthen my shoulders and get some meat in there for padding or something, it feels like bone on bone sometimes. I am a ribs n dick manlet.

tl;dr What are some good mobility exercises for shoulders if you're a DYEL with arthritis and no access to gym equipment?

I'll try the deadhangs, but what do you recommend in terms of exercises regarding the end of your post?

There are a bunch of videos on youtube about it, things like lying on your side with you arm alongside you and elbow at 90 degrees with a small weight you rotate your arm up for shoulder external rotation, supposed to hit the *spinatus muscles which they claim are weak. Didn't do shit for me, and in my case I figure the issue was more that I did tons of push exercises but neglected pull so I've just been doing all sorts of upper back stuff, inverted rows, bent over rows, band pull-aparts, pull-ups, etc. Just hit everything that pulls my arm back instead of pushing forward. Also all sorts of various shoulder stuff like front raises, lateral raises, rear raises (dunno if that's a thing lol but doing it anyway).
Of course if you're in active pain avoid anything that hurts and let it heal for a bit.

I forgot the name of the exercise but you basically put your back flat to a wall, and raise your arms while keeping the back of your hand and elbows touching the wall. Helped me a lot

I feel the bottom of my scapula kinda grinding against the back/side of my ribs sometimes if I try and make circular motions outward from my body with my upper arm. It only happens near the start of the motion though if I've been kind of immobile though.

Update on the deadhangs: they are mildly uncomfortable/painful on my right socket (no shocker since lifting my arm above my head already hurt), but it kinda feels like my right arm almost wants to slip out of its socket. Is this normal?

Hmm shouldn't hurt if it's impingement since the whole rotator cuff should have already passed under the arch when your arms are high. Could also be acromio-clavicular arthritis or issues (causes pain when your arm is basically vertical).
I don't think your arm should feel like it's going to slip out of the socket though. If it's too intense you can use your feet so you're not supporting your whole weight and build up to full weight dead hangs. There's some doctor that wrote a book (pamphlet really) about deadhangs for rotator cuff problems you could go pirate but it's not really worth it since it's literally tl;dr do deadhangs lol with some cat scans showing the joint and a bunch of testimonials.
Granted I'm no expert just a random guy who has had similar problems.

Cheers; yeah going by that diagram it feels more like the arthritis, but I will admit it does feel a bit better now after doing the hangs, plus I did a few sets of some chair dips
