I think I injured my low back lifting 22kg dumbbells off the floor in order to bench press them.
I don't deadlift. Do guys who deadlift pick up >40kg off the floor without care?

If its a weight I cant just pick up from the ground when im already lying on a bench.

I dead lift them to standing position. Then sit on the bench and place the weights on my knees then kip them backwards and lay down into bench position

I dont deadlift or squat. I can still comfortably deadlift 120kg if needs be.
