Nothing beats the raw ballistic power of a kettlebell. You will develop dynamic strength that can't be truly met with conventional gym equipment.

On the note of kettle bells. For a fitness assessment for a promotion coming up I need to do a farmers carry 20kg each hand 5 x 20m.

It sounds like a piece of piss and I know people smaller than me who were able to do it, but I've never done the exercise before and don't want to be caught off guard on the day.

Will I be ight?

I've never seen a person using kettlebells I'd want to be like.

Considering going from a 24kg cast iron to a 28kg competition style. I hear people say the jump 24kg to 32kg is very difficult, each kilo going up feels exponential.

28 is a good stop in between. You might as well get adjustables at that point so you don't have to buy more static weights.

There is no reason to jump from 24 to 32, just buy the 32 - they don't take up any room

Depends on what you’re doing. Long cycle, cleans, jerks, or snatches= go up 2-4 kg. Swings= feel free to go up in greater increments

I hear adjustables have a different feel to them compared to static.

Kettlebells are oly lifting for people that are too weak for oly lifting.

Old ones did. The newer ones are indistinguishable. I've seen the kettlebell kings ones, the wildman adjustable and pro-something adjustables and all are good. I was dumb and got pairs from 16 to 36kg during COVID but if there existed when I was buying I'd have bought them.
