You cannot factory farm beef because calves get depressed and fucking die. Feed lots are only after cattle have been raised to adulthood, usually by independent ranchers. This is the real reason they don't like beef. They have raised the price of rasing cattle by buying up the feed companies and price gouging it. Big ag despises beef because it can't be done in giant warehouses like hogs or chickens. This is the real reason they're trying to price us out of beef.

We didn't supply to butchers, we supplied to grocery stores. The two butchers in my town buy from local farms. The factory I worked at provided meat and vegetables we packaged to 6 or 7 different grocery chains. Most of them were fine with whatever got sent but walmart would, without fail, send back a third of what we sent them saying it was too low quality. They were exceptionally tough on beef and tomatoes.
