How the fuck do I stop my bad takeaway habits? I know they're bad, I know they're keeping me fat, but it's just ingrained into me that every week I get a kilo of honey chicken and eat it
I've managed to defeat the alcohol demon but the takeaway and delivery demons are beating me

go camping for a week or two to cut the core habit. afterwards it's about willpower and building new habits - but you can help yourself by associating takeaway with disgust ... like watching videos of maggots whenever you order some delivery shissl or something idk lol

Honey chicken doesn't sound too bad macro-wise. My way out of ordering food way always to learn cooking it myself. I just satisfy that craving by making my own less greasy but almost as good version.
Works especially well if you prepare a big batch and stuff yourself with it 2-3 days in a row. I haven't had shoyu ramen in 2 years after I cooked a big ass pot of it and ate it 2 times a day until it was gone.

Long time takeaway pig here.. let me think about a few things that made me stop.

One was deleting my food delivery app. Now if I want to order food I have to know where I'm ordering food from, then call the place and collect it, and even 'cheat food' wise, I'd usually rather go to the shops and just buy some frozen shitty food, or make my own(honey chicken is pretty easy to make). Basically without an app it's easier to buy food than order it.

Two was working out, and needing to get my protein in. I mostly get takeout cravings when I'm hungry and tired, but after going to the gym for a few months I'm never hungry because I'm constantly eating cottage cheese and chugging milk. My sleep schedule has improved a lot due to the exercise and I'm rarely tired.

Three is honestly hot having money. I'm between jobs and while I can technically afford takeout, the opportunity cost is too high.

Once you cement the habit of going to the shops, buying your own food, and prepping your own meals, it becomes much easier to continue that habit than break it by ordering food.

Meal prep dinner for the week every weekend. Then compare the cost of that to ordering out multiple times a week. It ought to disgust you how much money you are wasting.

>make the choice to go out
>make the choice to go to specific restaraunt
>make choice to go inside
>make choice to order
>make choice to finish payment
>make choice to take it home
>make choice to eat it
you have so many opportunities to say no. Just stop being a weakwilled faggot and quit making excuses for yourself.
