Those are mostly useful cues. Just listen to your body, have some mobility and it'll be alright.

I look at it like: if you did a one-leg squat you'd push your whole bodyweight up and it's not a particularily impressive feat. If you're using both legs it's only logical that you should at least double the weight.

As I said, you can always do split squats and effectively use half the total weight.

Leg press. Hack squat machine. Just use a lighter weight and do front squats in a smith without going all the way up or down. A weight you can actually do 8 reps of. At least then you will feel it in your quads. You go down all the way with squats and you just work your ass and hip muscles. You gotta up all the way and you just rest the weight on your knees instead of keeping tension on the quads

Everything the squat does, the Bulgarian split squat does better.

implying you can carry more than 200lbs using your arms. Im doing barbell split squats with 195lbs atm and also squats as well. its dumb to think you can replace 1 lift with another, just do them all.
The problem with OP is that he doesn't want to learn anything. OP is a plug and play type of guy, no need to get good at anything. very casual exercise person

I only box squat. It's much easier technique wise and you get better glute activation.

You should be going all the way down every rep, you can even bounce a little out of the bottom if you want. You can use whatever foot widfh and angle is best for you, but your legs should definitely be bending in the direction your feet are pointed. There is only one way to breathe and brace, and it's the same for every single lift.
All of your other complaints are retarded and not worth addressing.

Wtf what gives? I've been trying ankle mobility exercises, squat shoes and everything but I fucking suffer with squats. I feel like I can't really exert any power. What's the deal?
