hormones. Some tell your body to store fat. Some tell your body to break fat down. Exercise influences both of these in the direction you want, but because you are controlling food in ignorance of hormones, you are afraid to exercise sufficiently and may even be eating your restricted calories in a way that keeps hormones elevated.
Restrict your eating window and do z1/z2 exercise. Easiest is probably light rucking or suitcase carries.

Lmao. Try 400 calories a day maybe that'll do it.
Whatever you do, don't eat at the actual maintenance of the bodyweight of your goal body and don't bring your lifts up to it's appropriate level. That would be crazy.

Either take roids and crash your diet to get results fast, or do it the safe and normal way of 300 to 500 calorie deficit a day while maintaining exercise and healthy sleep

2. Dieting that hard is counterproductive. Your body will go overdrive to preserve more and more fat

Just be in a 500cal deficit and do a little cardio now and then along along your regular gym routine

I had this issue. Was eating 1500 calories when my maintenance was 2000 4 months before I started the cut, and I could not break below 170lb.

I fixed it by re-introducing 60% carbs (oats in the morning, rice, pasta, bread) and eating 2000-2200 calories or so per day. Weirdly enough, that's when I started losing weight and lifts shot up.

I was caught in that trap before. There's two things, you're fatter than you thought you were, and you're expecting results way too quickly.

If you diet too hard you lose both muscle and fat which makes you look like shit. You need to set a 6 month goal not a 6 week goal
