If you're doing pathetic amounts of them palm is fine.
If you're doing anything resembling a significant amount of training or weighted reps do them on your knuckles or grips. Ulnar nerve pain takes forever to go away as does tendonopathy because you're always using them it just never gets the chance to heal.

I have to do push ups on mu knuckles because I almost broke my wrist from hitting walls. I can easily do finger push ups but planting my palms gives me a shapr pain on my wrists.
