How the FUCK do I get good at push-ups?

Count how many you can do before being unable to do another. Write down that number. Then rest until you're no longer fatigued, this could take between a few hours to a couple of days. Do them again trying to do a least 1 more pushup than the last time. Repeat ad nauseam.

There's a toy called Perfect Push-up. It's good if your wrist doesn't take weight at 90 degrees. Or a pair of hex dumbbells. Slow and steady improvement is key. I do 100, 3 times a week (on off-days, before stretching), over however many sets it takes. One day it will be 2x50.

added 10 to my max by just trying to make progress on my push lifts - weighted dips, incline bench, french press
make sure your hands are a little below your shoulders (towards ass) versus being in line with them
try to keep your elbows close to your body versus letting them go outwards
just get better

Do 4 sets of half your max for, 3-5 times a week. For 4 weeks. Then test new max and repeat.

You'll hit 100+ reps in a few months.

Benches & Rows.
Any heavy compound that uses the muscles required for push-ups will do, then incrementally overload.

I never practice push-ups but can do 40 straight because I've been benching diligently.

Lose weight, start with sissy pushups if you have to, prioritize form, forget whatever bullshit you got meme'd into believing about quantity > quality. Pushups are easy to fake and some retard doing thousands of reps for a record is not doing actual pushups.
