Hey /fit bros. I was at the lake today with my family. My 100lb, 11 year-old daughter was being a turd so I was picking her up and throwing her into the lake. At one point I wanted to OHP her and then launch her from the top, but she was fighting so I couldn’t get full extension and had to just throw her from my shoulder. I am getting over an ankle sprain so that didn’t help, but doubt I wouldmve gotten her there anyways. I can OHP 110lbs right now, but the weight is obviously balanced. What should my OHP goal be for maximum daughter launching effectiveness when she is resisting? Is lmao1pl8 enough? I want to scare her shitless

You shouldn't be feeding your kid that much shit.

The weight will never be balanced you either push press/jerk it or toss it over your shoulder and press the person by the waist

Sure, but having her actively fight me makes it harder so I am trying to overcompensate on tbe weight I can OHP to factor in her resisting

My 8 year old weighs half that and 90th percentile for height, and she's not extremely skinny. I think your kid is just fat, literally grown woman weight.

Upper and lower body arent balanced, lift her body as if she's facing you not sideways if you're so insistent on OHP

When my father used to throw me he would grab me by me leg and my arm and battering ram throw me into waves in the ocean. it was more terrifying than him throwing me into the air but also more fun because i would go further.
The fear factor I think is the hang time becuase that is where I had a second or so to actually think "oh shit, theres only one way out of this and its a crash landing".

2pl8 OHP, 3pl8 bench for maximum water daughter launcher. You need to get big sir. You owe your family to do this. Beer and bar b que.

Yes I want to lift her straight up in the air like a pro wrestler does and then toss her

>>76512559
You’re mean and wrong. It’s not necessary. She is a gymnast, wrestles, and is very strong. Just know you are a jerk and saying hurtful things doesn’t change the truth

>>76512564
Hang time is why I wanted to be able to lift her straight over my head full extension before the throw. I want her to feel powerless against what is to come. I will also try what you suggest

I agree. That’s why I am eating 155 grams of protein a day to try to get there. I do BJJ four days a week so I only lift twice a week. All that cardio is keeping me at 170lbs and I don’t feel like I can eat anymore. Probably got to lift more and drop a BJJ day

Sorry to say but eat more. Aim for about 200g pro if you're trying to pack on lean mass. You need to rearrange your diet cuz it's not hard if you do it right especially with your physical activity, that means you can eat more carbs and fats as well. Just go to chatgpt enter your macro daily and calorie limit and it'll spit out so much shit. I've pack on 10lb of muscle in the past year because I tuned my diet to my wants. I also cook better food now and it's actually delicious as fuck.
I made 5 meals between 2.5lb 80/20, cilantro lime rice, black beans and cheese with added sour, really revved up onion and garlic plus a little spinach and a couple spicy peppers. 71g protein 25g fat 65g carb for one meal. Do that x3 (different food obv) and add protein gainer or just regular protein powder and boom, you're muclemaxxing.
Take creatine.

Thanks for the advice. My wife has been cooking me three high protein meals a day for a while now and I have put on about 5lbs muscle this past year. I take creatine and supplement protein shake when I feel like I can’t eat anymore.

Maybe I need to eat smaller meals. Today was three eggs and three strips of bacon, 2 Tacos with 8oz beef for lunch, and 6oz filet, mac and cheese, and salad for dinner. Also had a 30g protein shake and will eat something before bed. I need even more than this?

Nice and good. That all sounds legit. I'd add egg whites to your eggs and make a 50g shake to add another 40g or so to your daily just as a small adjustment. But that small 40 should help you a lot by freeing up energy from burning to building because you hit an "excess" amount.
Anonymous No.76512650
>>76512647
So assuming you're at 155, it'll bump you up to 195 with the 40g increase. Should be gnarly bro

by OHP i assume you mean a strict press (zero help using hips / legs) if yes then if all you care about is lifting something up you should life her using a push press technique, if you can strict press 1pl8 then with push press you can life 1.5-2pl8s

do you happen to have any pics of your trip today
preferably ones that show you OHP her?
Anonymous No.76514463
Work on other things so she doesn't wreck you again. If you just increase your OHP then you are going to get fucked up again.

Lat raises (maybe the leaning variant)
Lat Pulldown
Wide grip rows
Dumbbell rows
Forearm/grip strength
Lying Dumbbell curls - these stretch the hell out of your shoulder, use a low weight
Low reverse fly
Zottman Curls
Band Pullaparts (low and high)

here's a trick I learned from white water rafting.
if your buddy falls off the raft, he's gonna wanna get back in. don't just pull him up.
push him DOWN and then pull them up.
the body's natural buoyancy or something works with you.
so do the same trick.

what I don't understand is how most people on this board aren't complaining about needing antacid tablets all the time.

You know, it’s kind if ironic that the board /fit cannot figure out how an 11 year-old girl who wrestles, does BJJ and does gymnastics five or six days a week (and is more physically active than 99% of her peers) could possibly not be obese at close to 100lbs. Hmmm, I wonder what else that fat could be replaced with? It's a mystery.

It’s almost as if a subset of the people hanging out on this board are either fat, bitter neckbeards or skinny, bitter DYELs with no concept of what strength and intense cardio training does. For the losers in this category that managed to get some slampig pregnant with what should have been an aborted fetus, this is why your children are weak and your line is destined to fail. This is why my daughter dog walks the 11 - 12 year-old boys in her wrestling weight class and takes gold at every BJJ tournament she competes in. We have to match her with boys two years her senior and twenty pounds+ heavier than she is for her to get an actual challenge.

But go ahead, take time out of your day to debate whether an 11 year-old girl on the internet you’ve never seen is potentially fat. It’s not like I am posting pictures for the pedos on here so forget it. Just rest assured that she has two opposite sex parents in a loving, stable home who give her attention, affection and ensure she gets a healthy upbringing (including diet) so she doesn’t turn into the delinquents that your children are destined to become. The weakness of your own children is no concern of mine. Maybe constructively contribute to the conversation so I can continue to give her positive childhood memories rather than trying to tear down something you don’t understand. It’s pathetic.

That’s the last (you) on this topic from me. Maybe turn this into copypasta so it wasn’t a complete waste of my time. Losers.

This is what I want to be able to do to her. One more week and my ankle should be fine, but i could only get her to my face because of all her struggling. She’s strong as shit for her size thanks to the wrestling. I think I might manage to do it if she is cooperating and my ankle isn’t sprained. My question is how much weight do I need to put up to account for her fighting me?

Look my kid is only 40 lbs but the way to really launch them is they stand stiff legged and you go under them, one hand on each foot and get in a squat position. Stand up and OHP them for big air. I launch my little boy dangerously high like this his mother hates it and his grandmother has a heart attack.

Sounds like she hit puberty early, which isn't uncommon in girls due to hormones in food these days. She needs to have kid by the time she's in her early to mid 20s or she might lose the chance due to early onset menopause in her 30s.
