Most natty bodybuilders fail where natty power lifters usually succeed because powerlifters have result oriented goals that are more measurable. If natty bodybuilders really did mostly focus on getting their compound numbers up or even numbers on say a 3rd of their lifts they would get bigger. Because progressive overload is just that high on the priority list. You don't have to eat like a powerlifter but if you're not chasing performance oriented goals (weight on the bar) aggressively you're not going to keep adding mass.

Isolation simply isnt the thing to do as a natty or at least not what you should focus on. Bodybuilders do isolation because they're backed by their already existing mass and the roids

I don't have a problem with isolation.
If you wanted to put 30 lbs on your leg extension or pec deck that's measurable and do that with some kind of double progression system and it'll add mass. But you have to do that really consistently and there's just time constraints. It's a lot easier to do those compounds in one of those systems then just pound out accessory work with pausesets or supersets rather than murder yourself trying to rush those.

Also even powerlifters do a lot of isolation work if they're genuinely serious too. There's just no realistic way to handle that workload drug free on the kind of time line you to go to contests and stuff. You can afford to burn out or make yourself sick.

goal is to pig out when theres the occasion, but i stay consistent in my 'routine' day when theres not much going on. here i'm a bit leaner but smaller also

Idk man, only took me 2-3 years to achieve elite level strength and aesthetics. You probably just have bad genes or should focus on strength training. Bodybuilding methods don't work worth a shit and are designed for fags on steroids who barely have to do shit to stimulate muscle growth. I perform great and look great as a side effect with very little effort. You might just have shit genes, aren't lifting heavy enough at low volume, aren't getting enough protein, or are doing bodybuilder routine retardation.

I know bodybuilding routines don't work because I've done various different ones and only lose strength and size. That high rep high volume shit doesn't work, simple as. There's probably a ton of retards in the gym who are just frustrated because they're lifting so often and not getting results. Do low rep, low volume strength routines. You can throw shit like curls and shrugs on top to develop specific muscle groups, but follow the same low rep failure, low set number principles. I've never done more than 3 sets and actually get better results doing 1-2.

this is bullshit on every single level imaginable, yes you can isolate and you will grow, but you need food and rest, roids make you recover faster, so you can hit gym with more frequency, but you can still isolate go to failure and grow as natty, it just takes more time since your recovery is slower
sure if youre a sedentary twig in your 20s you are not gonna make much progress anyway in any timeframe, you need genetics, look up any elite bodybuilders when they were natty and in highschool , they were already huge form doing whatever sport and lfiting on top, completely natty
