Explain to me why shouldn't I just buy a rowing machine and have it as my sole workout routine.

You can do that if you want

because it's fucking boring
and not really "time efficient"
almost impossible to do isolations and you have some muscle groups that are predominantly used which will define your recovery times

196cm

Because it's not usually enough on its own to add lean mass beyond the initial stages. Unless you can crank up the resistence so high you can only get ~10 reps it won't do that. You can build some type 1 fiber capacity but it's not going to make you the muscular and lean anime twink your probably fantasize about like every other fag that does these memes.

Even rowers lift.

I don't want to get swole I just want to lose my beer belly. I used to run a lot but can treadmills are a scam and not as good as real outside running so rowing seems to be at least a bit more complete while still burning calories and low impact.

>I don't want to get swole
>I just want to lose my beer belly
well, not with that attitude
and your initial question was phrased completely different...

>and not as good as real outside running
why not just run outside then?

>rowing seems to be at least a bit more complete while still burning calories and low impact
while true
if you want to go truly low impact on your joints, go swimming
but otherwise rowing is great (for you)

in any way
stop stuffing food in your face
after an intense 60min rowing workout which will make you feel dying you'll barely burn 1000kcal
>you cannot outrow gluttony
you gotta change what and how much you eat if you want to lose your beer belly
I ignore women No.76514519
go ahead

why buy a $400 machine when a $10 band will do?

Because I got a manual labor job in the meantime and don't have the mental fortitude to go run afterwards. And it has been very hot and every path is packed with normalfags so I'll have to wait till fall to get running again.

You will max out that band week 1
You will never be able to max out a rower on the highest resistance settings
Those $400 will pay themselves if you actually use the rower regularly
I will agree that the band can be useful for you to buy immediately to get the initial gist of how rowing works, while you plan to buy the machine

So run outside also most treadmills are passable they just don't teach you pacing. If you ask rowers they all give you same sales pitch le concept2 is the rower on the market worth it btw it's ($2000 not including shipping or warranty). I run outside once in a while to know what kind of pace I naturally run at. Then just take that on the treadmill and bump it up a 1/10th of a mph. Haven't experienced any performance falloff considering the rather low end of weekly running milage I average only increases.

As soon as temperatures drop, get shorter and normies leave trails I'm running outside again but as of now I need something to do inside other than fucking around with a kettlebell because the other day I looked at a side photo of myself and the beer belly was bulging on the tshirt, looked gross like those middle aged onions office drones.

I never looked like this, I played sports all my life and had a skinny but otherwise athletic build, not anymore.

Get some leggings I run in Michigan winters. It's not bad at all once you get warmed up. Just need 2 sets so you're not having to launder them every day. If it rains I have a jumprope.

Exercise is great but a machine isn’t going to fix your appetite problem.

It's too hot not too cold.

And that's exactly my problem, too much food has been my downfall. I'm in my mide 30s and have no gf or social life, I don't drink or do drugs so eating sugary garbage for the last year got me from 72kg to 83kg @ 178cm tall.
It was all fine and dandy when I was running 200k a month but when I stopped I ballooned and here I stand. Need this fixed asap.

Also fine. Tank top learn to like a sweat or run at 6/7 am the coldest time of day tends to be just after dawn.
