Why not both? It's pretty common for gays to end up looking like what they're attracted to because both are guys. It's a thing even in many straight couples, but it's less noticeable for obvious reasons, that's why shit like "siblings or dating?" is even a thing.

This manga gave me body dysmorphia once I realized all these guys who look big and beefy are almost all under 70kgs. They become leaner later but the early designs are pretty misleading
