Lower:
>leg press
>leg extensions
>adductor machine
>hip thrusts
>calf raises

Upper:
>calisthenics only

No squats or deads to avoid a thick core, take gear to ensure legs grow. Deliberately never max out any upper body exercise, 50% RIR at all times for anything above the waist.

You know what? I will try something like this with my wife, just to see if she can improve her lower section.
>hon, b-but squats will get me blocky!
I'm tired of this shit, but I need to consider her escoliosis situation for squat and diddlies.
Her ass/legs looks very good at 50yo after cardio, but it's time to put more mass. Women should ALL lift at certain age to avoid complications from hormone changes.

From what I've seen, they basically train like women who compete in wellness as well. So a lot of lower body and less emphasis on the upper body. And yeah, most of them are cryptotrannies, ambush-moders, etc.

Their fed isn't even trying to hide that the division is basically for fags because straight guys aren't into rocking this physique.

Picrel is one of the guys who competes in it. A typical travesti, that's like a trans-adjacent local thing.

I guess this degeneracy is only happening in the she-cock paradise: Brazil.

The same goes for women's wellness. IFBB made it a global category a few years ago after it's been a thing Brazil for over a decade, but wellness athletes outside Brazil are absolutely atrocious, most former heavy weights roidtrannies with massive upper bodies. But the category is meant for women with developed, but fairly lean upper bodies and massive legs.

Squats are fine, but deads are a meme for non powerfats.

For the record I advocate squats and squat myself but for the purpose of this "men's wellness" gay male centaur category, I don't see any advantage for squats over leg press.

There's no avoiding activating your obliques when you squat with a barbell because your body is actively trying to control any rotation. With leg press there is no rotation because the weight can only move along a fixed path and your spine is flat against what's behind you.

I would imagine the men competing in this category actively want to avoid the crossfit thick trunk core with giant obliques and to this end it seems to me that leg press would make more sense. But I don't know. Perhaps they do squat.

I checked their profiles, they do squat a lot, but it's mostly high volume with moderate weights, like 80kg/176lbs and typically in smith machines. But they also do all kinds of shit like leg presses, hack squats, lunges (also in smith), etc. Basically anything that can grow their legs, especially quads.
Personally, I can't do leg presses in most machines because I have big glutes and pushing the platform flattens my lower back really uncomfortably. I actually hurt my back that way in the past, fortunately, it resolved its own after a couple of day, but that's hell while it lasted, sneezing, walking, even farting would result in a sharp pain, lmao. That's why I prefer hack squats and high bar squats, don't use belts tho because belts teach you to push against them which is no bueno, imho.
