I’ve developed a mysterious abdominal illness over the summer
GI doc suspected chronic pancreatitis, but my CT scan with dual contrast was clear. Next step would be an endoscopy, possibly a EUS. I’ve been treating it by quitting alcohol and eating only healthy foods, but I haven’t been exercising at all lately. Today’s the first day I feel well enough to go on a long walk, so I’m about to shower and do that.

It’s weird, my stomach feels like it always needs food in it or else I start to feel sick. So I’ve been gaining the weight back that I spent the last year losing. Was actually at my goal weight of 165. I haven’t checked in weeks because I don’t even want to know.

I think it’s slowly but surely getting better tho. So that’s good at least. Been 2-3 months of symptoms. Idk the point of this thread, I just wanted to tell my /fit/ friends that I may be back enough to get back on the path

lol yeah idk man.. docs don’t know what’s wrong. It’s either that chronic pancreatitis or chronic gastritis. Not pleasant.

Very cool and comfy image anon mind if I save it?
No clue about the stomach issue sorry, maybe the gut microflora may be off and some fermented unpasteurized foods could help? Worth a try imo. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

>[Pancreatitis] is most commonly due to many years of heavy alcohol use.
