is picrel absolutely necessary in order to be jacked?

No

No, they're not even good for providing functional strength
They just make you better at doing benchpress, squats and deads
Pointless and injuryprone lifts
Anonymous No.76532690 >>76536175
Yes. These are the essential exercises that everyone does.

No, they're just decent choices for learning form in the gym. Bench press is probably the best of the three, squats are alright but theres tons of better leg exercises, and deadlifts are for people who compete.

No, you could, for example, do incline press, front squats, and romanian deadlifts.

If you're natural yes, you need every single compound to get jacked
Not just the classical 4 but also rows dips etc
If you're roiding you can just rely on shitty isolation and still grow because you're stressing the muscle to a certain degree

>Bench press
Not absolutely necessary if you know your way around dumbbells
>Squat
Absolutely necessary as it increases HGH and test, plus 9999 other benefits
>Deadlift
Does jack shit

They're nice until you start cutting and realize they're mostly dependant on bf%, so you're better switching for less gimmicky movements when losing weight.

Lmao you can reach your genetic potential with only isolations it's about proximity to failure and progressive overload

>increases HGH and test

Stupid meme needs to die. It temporarily increases them which does nothing since it's for like 45 minutes. Also raises cortisol in turn which is catabolic. It's a wash

No, but they are necessary if you want my respect which is worth more than being jacked.

I do the bench press, squat and rdl. conventional seems unnecessary. If you have a hack squat machine then squats are also unnecessary. If you want to be a bit safer you could do incline bench press. I do think you should start out with the flat bench at least the first couple of months.

I won't ever do deadlifts again after a disc bulge. I've replaced squats and deads with single leg RDL and Bulgarian splits.

No-one who skips these gets big

Unless you're a roider but we are talking about people with self-respect

I'll never give up bench, but you dont need deads or squats to get big. Retarded.

>catabolic
You need to learn the meaning of that word

I love my bench and squats, but deadlift feels like bullshit

Catabolic hormones promote the breakdown of tissues and molecules to release energy. Cortisol plays a role in this process by:
Increasing protein breakdown in muscles
Mobilizing fatty acids from adipose tissue
Promoting gluconeogenesis (conversion of amino acids and fatty acids into glucose)
Cortisol is released in response to stress, such as exercise, injury, or infection. Its catabolic effects help the body cope with these situations by providing energy and nutrients. However, prolonged or excessive cortisol levels can lead to muscle wasting, osteoporosis, and other health problems.

And you need to touch a weight for the first time in your life

I second this.

Unless youre a genetic outlier who just grows from everything, in which case its like blasting Tren, naturally.

But for the rest of us, get strong and big under compounds. Its going to take ten years to become impressive, but if you start at 16, by 25 you can be pretty awesome when it matters.

Sure. That's why they're a staple of most athletes' strength program.
Anonymous No.76536131
Some form of pressing and squatting movement is necessary

I genuinely donโ€™t see why anyone would want to deadlift other than powershitters. Itโ€™s stupid and is popular because itโ€™s the โ€œeasiestโ€ way for new starters to move a larger number

>deadlift
