Myo-reps are set extenders.
You can't go beyond failure, it's a wall you can never pass.
This applies to every "intensity technique"

Myo reps is unironically very very good.

Is a "myo rep" a new dyel buzzword or something?

They’re just partials.

>They’re just partials.
Not usually. You wait a few seconds after failure so you can do more reps.

>spend more time in the range near failure which is the most influential in muscle development
sounds like a win still

It’s more like rest-pause

what's the difference?

It's attempt by the "science lifters" to steal and repackage Dante Trudel's methods (because he's team lyle).
Dante calls them pause sets.
What it is:
A set performed to failure, followed by a cycle of partial rest and more reps performed to failure until a rep target is achieved.

The more we know about how hypertrophy works the more valid this method seems for time saving which is why they tried to steal it and rephrase it little to make it seem like it's their idea.

zoomers do partials on everything all the time and as fast as possible and drop the weights with a slam.

Traditionally rest pause is longer. 30s maybe? Myo reps is more like waiting until you think you can do another rep, like 5s.
Anonymous No.76535203
Are 30 rest-pause reps in say, 6 bouts as good as doing 30 reps in 3 sets with longer rests?

Of course you can't go beyond failure, that would mean you never failed
