I deadlifted from 2012 to 2017, then quit
Why?
1 week I Deadlifted 4 plates for 15 reps, I felt amazing, shit was easy as fuck, felt like a super saiyan or some shit
A week later I went in for Deadlifts again, thinking I'd destroy them again, I go to do 4 plate again, I cant even complete a SINGLE a rep
From a 15 rep out a week earlier, to suddenly not even being able to 1RM it
This is when I decided not to ever bother training for strength ever again other than basic progressive overload here and there, but not obsessing over it to the point of becoming a "strength" focused lifter
Basically, I came to the conclusion from that experience that STRENGTH is just as FLEETING as Asethetics are. What I mean by this, you know how people get shredded, then 2 weeks later, look like shit? or that your body composition can change from day to day... well I didn't think strength was like that, but turns out it is.
