Hey OP, I just finished law school in America and just started my career. You will have plenty of time to work out and make gains. I was at my fittest following first semester of 1L year and made significant gains while also having surprisingly good grades. Just be aware, there will be some time periods you’ll have to take time off the gym to put that time somewhere else. For instance, during exam reading/study periods or during an extracurricular like Moot Court/Trial Team etc you won’t have as much time to hit the gym, but that’s okay, you’ll get the gains back quickly. Also, i made a fitness club at my law school and actually made some of my best friends through the club and hitting the gym, it was really honestly great. If you could get a fitness club together of actually smart students, that would really help your law school journey.
Good luck in law school OP, if you’re a first generation lawyer like me, you’ll have no clue what to do but you’ll figure it out. Honestly grades do matter a lot for getting a job (you first job is essentially entirely based on your first semester of law school grades, which is arguably incredibly unfair but thats the practice of law in general) so make sure to try your best. Be a nice guy, make good friends, and do NOT shit where you eat. Stay away from crazy and/or independent women, there are way too many of those in law school and will ruin your life.
Also when you study for the bar, your schedule for lifting will be fucked, but passing a test that determines whether you get paid or not is worth more than the gains so make the gains sacrifice. Good luck OP
>tldr, yes you’ll be able to still make gains, but there are periods where you won’t have as much time.
