Damn, that looks pretty cool, but fuck, my gym doesn't have that.
I keep getting this issue where my lower back is activated and I end up injuring it. Seated row machine with chest support helped, but this seems ideal.

your gym doesn't have the most basic row setup?

that would be a barbell

most dont have 2 bar rows actually, its kinda niche despite being one of the best back movements. kinda retarded, probably jewish

A tale as old as time. Always have chest or back support when appropriate. Powersharter movements are never worth the risk of injury

Most basic does not mean most common, it's not even top 4 most common, free tbar, cable, and lever are all more common

I heavily prefer the seated cable row, so I can get the weight on my feet, slightly better rom depending on design and let my back move naturally. I row heavy enough I could probably break by ribs with my 8 rep weight doing this.

How much do you row? The row machine at the gym I went to maxed out at 255lbs. Wish they had some lever plate loaded row machines like op

I row 4 plates on this, you're supposed to brace with your muscles not your bones

280 lbs for 8. I can feel and hear my sternum and floating ribs cracking around 250 with the chest supported row.

I got to say I highly doubt that.

Oh wait it's not doubled that's like 220+~12 lbs. That's between intermediate and advanced based on T-bar row standards which is the closest thing I could find numbers.

It's not equivalent to a barbell row, you only feel the full weight when the bar is horizontal, by the time you're at the top of the rep the felt weight is approximately halved (assuming the bar ends up at about 30 degrees) (this is a good thing btw)

Guess I haven't hit 250 yet but I don't really feel any pressure on my bones. I just can't take many breaths in a set

I know I corrected myself and compared it to a T-bar row since it's the same machine just without a chest pad.

I only love doing cable rows with a v-bar, one of my favorite exercises, but it doesn't fit into my routine sadly. already have a pulldown hitting the lats.

I do both actually. Don't try to "best in slot" like some meta nerd. The Yates approach with limited sets of an individual exercise but a broader selection of lifts to hit each angle or head of specific muscle better is in my (limited and non-professional) experience better. I'll take 2 sets of 2 diffent exercises before I do 4 sets of one. If I had to restrict to three sets I'd do 1 of three exercises taken right up to failure over 3 of one.

I do not believe you are rowing 405 lbs.
Are you counting the plates on both sides? What kind of retard does that?
What do you think 1/2/3/4 means?

It sucks. I did it for some months and when you start putting real weight on it's not comfortable to support your body with your chest. Best rows are seated acable and seated machine

I need to construct some sort of device to put my bench on and a chiropractic chair headrest so i can do seal rows and front raises, a self spot lever arm j hook, and of course another bench rack on top of it if i just wanna hit a few sets of bench without having to make some kind of overcomplicated weight station to hit bench press.

overrated, hammer strength makes better equipment, and I wouldnt bother with T-bar row if you have a low row and an iso row
