Thanks to this place, I will never open a video of someone using the bicep ripping device.

It's safe. Just switches to gay porn 3 seconds in and there's no bicep tear.

If he's American he's entirely fucked because the surgery necessary to put biceps back in place isn't covered by private insurances. That type of tear doesn't effect the functionality of the arms and the surgery is considered cosmetic.

I'd avoid free weight preacher curls due to the possibility of this injury. Your arms will look like popeye arms for life. You're better off with free weight dumbell

how can it happen with lmao1pl8?
its like people snapping their shit with 5pl8 diddly

it shouldn't be possible unless you got hypermobility or some underlying cause

same, I only do hammer curls with dumbells 35lbs is my max for like 5 reps

seems like everybody has tiny ass arms though and wants to go muh heavy as possible, swinging the shit around and having no tension on the muscle, literally an iq test

This is something I've noticed as a new lifter. People do a lot of swinging with heavier weights instead of controlled and slow lifts.
I think those type of people would do better with resistance bands as they fit their workout style better.

This only happens if your tendons are weaker than your muscles or you're being an absolute retard. Natties don't have to worry about this.

because your arm has multiple elbow flexors - brachialis, coricobrachialis, and radiobrachialis. You have a dedicated supinator muscle too. For lifting under 30 lb (basically white collar wagie stuff) they can provide a full ROM without the biceps

>lean forward and use all fibers/starts with mid/peak for heavy
>for the long big bicep do dbs make it more wrist and a wider elbows
>lots of weird angles on dbs like getting drunk and doing a bicep curl tricep extension compound movement
>dont do steroids or be dehydrated/no nutrients
>if youre gonna lean back so far you need to kip it maybe focus that part of rom like how you build inner vs outer or upper chest

Ah, that makes sense.
Most jobs I have applied to have always had as a specification "must be able to lift 50 lbs", I assume to weed out the disabled.

There's already a risk of snapping your bicep doing back exercises like chin ups.

Avoid like the plague, especially preacher

because it's a barbell. The left one tore first, so the right arm had to carry all the weight and tore as well.

from the jews that run medical insurance, yes that is exactly their perspective. Bicep ruptures don't cause much chronic pain and you can still make a comfortable earning without curling.

actually retarded, although I do think the preacher is a dumb exercise because it seems to put the most stress on the muscle out of any curl

literally just lower the weight bros, that's it, not everything has to be a max in reps and weight every day, actually retarded

Preacher curls load the lengthened position more. The lengthened position is where there is reduced active tension and increased passive tension. You don't generate nearly as much mechanical tension from contracting your muscles and most of the tension is from your muscles being at full length and having to support the load. Because of this the muscle is like a rope holding on to a weight. It is under a lot of shearing force and the muscles being much weaker than tendons tends to tear under too much load in that position.

BTW, it's not the tendon that tears. It's usually the muscle tissue that tears in cases like that. Tendons generally are much sturdier than muscles. Too avoid the problem just stop short of full extension. Say at 30 degrees of flexion to keep your muscles in a position where you still have a lot of active tension while at most a manageable amount of passive tension. Also don't 1RM preacher curls. If you want to 1RM do wall curls. Only use a weight you can comfortably control your ROM with.

Going to failure with biceps at that angle is just begging for bicep snap city. Too many reps too. Weights are for reaching failure quickly, and really reaching failure more than once does nothing for muscle fiber growth. High volume only bloats glycogen reserves. Those aren't gains lmao that's inflammation.

You will not tear your biceps on preacher curls unless you are on PEDs or are a weakling using far too much weight with horrific form.

I have repped 135lbs for 3x10, never had a single issue.

Bicep tears happen for roiders because the tendons do not grow at the same rate the muscle does.

Preacher curls are literally the best bicep mass builder there is.
