6’3 and 200 pounds myself, can still run sub 19 min 5k and sub 90 min half marathon
Would love to BQ or win some local races but would really need to lean out and I already feel thin at my current weight, to your point if you want chicks and respect from non-skelly runner men then you need to lift weights.
Guys here are focused too much on size and numbers they can put up. If you’re lean, vascular, and lift then yea girls (who are awful judges of strength let’s be real) will make comments like the one you received on your pecs. I can bench 225 for one rep but girls have called me Clark Kent, Jason mamoa, captain America, and Gaston at all various points at bars and such
