is it just me
or is going to the gym much more comfy in the winter /fit/
like it's only August and I'm already looking forward to cooler, darker times and comfy gym sessions

It's just you. Everything about winter sucks.

as a heat rash sufferer, the colder the better for lifting. though it sucks to run in because most running shoe foams harden up and destroy your feet

working out in winter is my preference too. dark, muddy, frosty, dressed like a hobo, but then total conversion in the gym. havent set a foot in a gym since covid and i need a sauna but im not sure wether i can go back, ive adapted too well.

August to November is the only time I can skate to the gym without a jacket or too much of a sweat workout and leave without having to change clothing it's a good time

I think winter is so much better for everything, even now that I do manual labor outside. I have reverse seasonal depression, 16 hours of sunlight makes me want to kill myself. Winter is comfy as fuck. I sleep better and its easier to unwind at night.

As the other poster said, if you are white, everything is better in the winter. I try to convince myself summer is better in the winter until summer actually comes and I sit inside all day to avoid the heat. Im considering moving more north.

You are completely right anon.
It's super amazing how each season has its own different feeling with regards to gym and everything else also. Walking to the gym during daylight already wearing workout shorts and a short sleeve shirt and then leaving the gym into the warm summer evening air just feels so nice. The first smell of crisp cold autumn air. Then the autumn gym walks while the wind is blowing leaves around outside and sometimes it rains a little, everything's all orange and friendly in a strange way. Like an abstract feeling of comfyness that just completely envelops you and the whole world. The smell of mushrooms and wet, rotting wood; crackling leaves and fog. And the silent snowy nights of winter; going to warm up in a sauna only to leave out back into the chilly weather. God I love seasons so fucking much. Thank you for this thread.

I think It's already starting, I can catch a whiff of the autumn air sometimes. God I fucking love the autumn vibe and fog so much, summer too but I can't wait :D

Schizophrenics cannot deal with hot weather but prefer cold weather. Just saying.

Browns prefer winter, whites prefer summer. It's counter-intuitive, but it's always true. Hence browns do their vacations in winter Germany and see Neuschwanstein, while whites do a vacation on the beach and get as much sun as possible before going back to their winter fortresses.

Same reason why shitskins prefer pale skin and whites prefer being tanned a bit. That goes back to ancient Greece too.

I miss less extreme seasons. Summer and winter have both gotten generally more severe in terms of weather hazards. Growing up the temperatures pretty much did -5-35C and now it's like -10-40C regularly.

Thank you anons; I haven't really been able to properly share my thoughs on matters relating to feelings and vibes with anyone for a while, despite them being about the things that I hold dearest. So your responses mean so much to me, I am really glad that you enjoyed the post. When I go wander in the cold autumn forests, the knowledge that with people, possibly all across the globe and whom I may never get to see, I was able to share and may even at that very moment be sharing these beautiful feelings will bring me great warmth, and I hope it will for you, too.

Here's a butterfly that had landed on my leg almost 5 years ago, I only just found this photo again after all that time. It was such a different time back then, strange to think about how much has changed.
