Most women I ever talked to prized my pale skin and youthful looks and were aghast when I tanned a bit in summer. These included nigger, asian and white girls. Pretty creepy in some cases, the nigger chick was from a voodoo family and thirsty because she though I looked "pale and pretty like St. Sebastian". However, Vitamin D deficiency is no joke, so I'd rather be tanning a bit.
Anyway, the point is: No, tan doesn't look automatically better than pale.
