Low BF maintenance
To those of you who is <15% how are you doing the maintenance to keep it year round? Is cardio a necessity?
I know 15% is the bare minimum to look and feel good. Any tips & trick?

pic rel is my bf i somewhat manage to stay on all year:
-track calorie every day
-i like running so i run 2 or 3 times a week, that help being able to eat more
-i stay on my diet in "everyday life" as in if it's just a regular day. If i'm with friends or having a family dinner (or if it's just sunday sometime)I won't care and eat like a pig, feel like this is the most important
-I go on holiday two times a year for a month, so i always feel like i'm dieting for something, but generally after the holiday i stop dieting for a month or two
-sacrificing gains

honestly a lot of time i look at myself in the mirror after a huge meal or myself in some photos and thats just enough for me to get me back into it. Generally when i decide to diet i need at least 2 weeks to really switch between "ah it's ok" to dieting seriously

Easy. Just lift to failure and eat at around maintenance. No need for cardio. No need to be autistic about diet, just enough protein intake. I dont track calories, I precalculated my daily diet and just follow it, I just weight my morning oats and lunch chicken breasts. I do not weight veggies and other stuff.

Cutting fucking sucks, but maintenance is easy.

My rules:
>weigh-in every morning
>lift 3x/week at least, to failure on non-compounds
>hit daily protein goal
People bitch at the daily weigh-ins, but if you do it every day, the weight can never "sneak up" on you, and you don't have to cut for too long if you fuck up and drink a gallon of deep fryer grease in a drunken haze.

Nothing. Seriously I’m 26 I’m always lean and I eat junk food almost everyday. I have more trouble putting on weight. I do no cardio and train 6 days a week only doing push, pull and arms. Sometimes my knees will ache and that’s when I do as many body weight squats as I can and after the aches will completely go away for a couple of weeks. My legs are already big for some reason.

You should be doing cardio regardless.
15% is when I cut down to 8-10%. There is no giant secret. Eat enough protein, eat 20% fat if you are natty, eat the rest carbs. Eat in a surplus so that you are making gains in the gym but not so much that you are putting on lots of fat. This should make you gain between 1/4 lb to 1 lb a week. Bulk as long as you can until you hit 15% bf, then cut.
Keep your protein as higher or slightly higher than before. Drop carbs by about 2/3. Keep fat where it is or drop it slightly near the end of the cut. Do the same workout and cardio you were doing during the bulk. If your diet stalls, do a high day or two where you up the carbs to maintenance or slightly above to give your body some glycogen and time to recover then back to the cut. Once you hit 8-10% then go back to your bulk. I like to ease the calories up over about a week.
Eat the same thing everyday. I give myself one cheat meal a week during my bulk, no cheat days in the cut. If I hit 15% during the winter and I’m making great progress, I might bulk a little longer. I try to make sure I end a cut during June or July so I look good at the lake all summer.
It’s really not hard. Even during a cut, you get used to the deficit in about a week.

There is no correlation the protein goes to whichever body parts who need it. But as your test increase even if you only train upper then your lower will get the benefit too
