people on this board will disagree on pretty much everything, so why is it that there is complete universal agreement that the pull up is a triple s tier exercise?

i love pull ups so much bros

It's the best back exercise with a lot of variation.
Plus the faggots on this board love to gatekeep. You can't spam pullups if you're too fat or weak.

Because we're primates and climbing is a more fundamental way of moving for us than walking.

pretty much everything about human anatomy is an adaptation away from climbing towards walking lol

That doesn't matter. The circuits in our nervous system are still there. It will take a very long time in evolutionary/genetic terms for them to disappear. The fact that our musculoskeletal morphology is primary geared towards upright walking doesn't change the fact that it's built on a neuromotor "scaffolding" adapted to ape-like climbing for at least 25 million years, as evidenced by the oldest hominin-like fossils. Likely this is 50 million years more. The earliest evidence of upright walking in our ancestors is about 4-5 million years old.

So our bodies have been designed to run instead of climb for at least the last 4 million years?

how can fossils be evidence of our neuronal structures? our neuronal systems would evolve in tandem with our musculoskeletal morphology, largely because our neurons specialise and adapt based on our morphology, and people that had neuronal structures that aligned with their morphology would have an evolutionary advantage. do you genuinely believe what you're saying? because its dumb as shit. the human body, and the human brain, are geared much more towards walking/running than climbing.
