err I should add that the point of disproving cholesterol theory is that it's highly nuanced. literally nobody is trying to claim cholesterol can't be a factor we already know for a fact it can. what's being shown is that the results are highly variable and not a cut and dry predictive factor. as their data shows only the presence of plaque predicts future plaque irrespective of cholesterol and apob. that means we don't really know what causes plaque but we can exclude cholesterol from being a given generic reason.

I'd argue vegetarianism but I know someone who went on an all meat/vegetable diet and those improvements made me rethink my whole vegetarian stance, I still think it's the best long life term but doing meat/vegetables only seems like the best choice to make quick beneficial changes.
