Wound update. It's still not infected and healing. It shrank a little, but you can't really tell from the pic. Going to soak it later, clean it with peroxide, and put some ointment on it. The scab is just dark red (nearly black) dried blood. In proper lighting it looks more red. The redness is from wearing a tight sock on my foot. It feels pretty solid. People keep saying a foot injury like this will take weeks to heal. I've never had an injury like this before, so I have no idea what to expect. I'll post previous pics of my wound.

Any advice on how to speed up healing will be appreciated. Thank you for your support.

Pour rubbing alcohol on it every few days and leave it alone. Don't pick at it. Put a bandage or something on it. When you can, take your socks off and keep the foot elevated.

I don't have any pics of my raw surgical wound but this shit was nasty when I first got it

Does rubbing alcohol work better than peroxide?

I don't have any iodine.
Which kind is best?

Then don't look at it?

iodine solution from the drug store will be good. the more iodine in the solution the better.

1. open it one last time and clean it out with chlorhexidine and a cotton pad
2. apply antimicrobial ointment (antibiotics in vaseline solution), you want the wound to be "wet"
3. seal with bandage or band-aid

leaving it to dry in the air heals much slower and leads to more scar tissue formation

4. you obviously need to change band-aid/bandages with new ointment ever 1-2 days depending on your activites

>bandage it
Tried that. Bandages kept coming off while I slept.
I found it easier to just leave it alone and clean it only after a shower or bath.
I don't care much about scars.
I already have tons of scars.
They fade over time.

RA dries it out a little more and kills everything. In my experience peroxide isn't the worst but it foams up and traps dirt. If you can, slather some Vaseline on it. It'll help the scar look nicer and it'll heal much faster. I'm not kidding about the raising of the foot and bandage though.

I'll give it a try after my next cleaning.

I don't care about scar tissue any other place than my face either, but the process I described makes it heal several times faster vs leaving it out to dry. You don't want to irritate it and scrub it out all the time either, you just change bandages and gently remove debris while you apply new ointment.
>Bandages kept coming off
this is skill issue, just go to the pharmacy and buy band-aids in the appropriate size if you're too clumsy to tape a piece of cotton pad or w/e non-sticky material (you don't want your wound to grow into the bandage) onto yourself with skin tape

I don't partake of such retardation.
I'm both superstraight and superpureblooded. No drugs, no vax, healthy food (lean meats and green veggies), and plenty of plain water.

Eat plenty of protein, since it's the body's bricks for building and repairing
Anonymous No.76558502
Collagen greatly accelerates skin healing.
And MSG greatly inhibits bleeding (glutamate is the active molecule, but MSG is super cheap at like 5$ for 1lb at the grocery store.

So go to the grocery store, and buy 1lb of collagen and 1lb of MSG. Eat a few spoonfuls of collagen per day, and 1-2 spoons of MSG with your food per day.

Ignore all the schizos telling you to put alcohol, iodine or antibiotics on your wound every day. Because your wound isn't infected, and those compounds will actually greatly slow down healing by killing your own cells. And when your cells are dead your immune system will be weak, and so you are actually more likely to get an infection by killing your own tissue this way.

All that pus coming out in the first picture pushed out any infection that might have occurred.

To prove my point: Try putting a drop of iodine on the same part of skin every day. You will find that your skin burns off and after a while it takes longer to heal, and then begins to heal very slowly, and eventually becomes diseased. That's what these schizos are telling you to do because they are ignorant.

you'll pull through.

Don't know about cleaning it one more time but keeping it moist and letting it puss out is good if you haven't already. It looks good enough to heal without infection if you continue to keep it clean.

It's so strange to watch you transform from a worried, hand wringing hypochondriac into tough scar guy.
