You can do it anon. 29 is still very young, you've got a lot of great fit years ahead of you.
Don't get discouraged, it's going to take a while but that's okay. In that time you're going to form habits and make fitness a lifestyle. If it happened overnight, you'd fall back into bad habits. Enjoy the journey. You're going to see changes quickly. Let that motivate you to keep going. The FPH threads here are great motivation too.
Learn to cook. Like really cook, not just microwave slop. Buy fresh meat (ground beef and chicken thighs are my go-tos), cook it with whatever vegetables you like. "Meat and potatoes" gets a bad rap in society but frankly that's what healthy people tend to eat. When I'm tightening up my diet to lose 5 pounds, that's what I ramp up in my diet - meat and vegetables.
Eat slowly and stop every few minutes to assess your hunger. Are you still hungry? Truly? If so, keep eating. If not, stop eating. Put the rest of the food in the fridge. You don't have to clean your plate. You can eat it later. Really start paying attention to hunger cues. Something I've noticed over the years is if I eat a bigger dinner than normal, I'm very hungry the next morning. My stomach got stretched the night before and now it thinks that's normal. THIS IS A TRAP. Know that and you won't fall for it. Drink some water and it goes away.
You may have some loose skin. Skin removal surgery is relatively cheap and really doesn't hurt for more than a week. Don't let that fear be a deterrent. You could start setting aside a little money now so that when you reach your goal weight you'll already have the funds for it. I would recommend maintaining your goal weight for 6-12 months first though because your body may take care of it itself.
I am genuinely rooting for you anon. Keep us updated
