Yes. Doing full body with reasonably heavy weights once a week is enough to maintain muscle, provided you eat at maintenance. You can do twice a week just to be safe tho

What kind of running and why are you cutting back on the gym? Just run. Most actual bodybuilders I know do some running or other steady-state cardio. If you're eating and resting enough it won't sap your gains.

Why do you suggest doing it that way? I lift in the morning and run at night. An easy run after lifting matches up nicely: your muscles being a little tired will dissuade you from pushing the pace too much. You don't need peak performance to generate the required stimulus. If you run first, fatigue will stop you from generating peak force during lifting. That means reduced strength stimulus.

Well yeah, I don't want to compete. I like food too much and I can't get below 10% bodyfat. I also don't like running and doing that for 3-4 hours sounds miserably boring. I am objectively strong and did a 23 minute 5k this summer. Which sucks by runner standards but I'm happy with since I don't prioritize running.

That's a lot more running than I'd expect of someone only running 2-3x/week. One of the advantages of running is you can just do it without having to travel to and get set up at a specialized facility. I would expect it to take less than an hour out of his week.

I suspect most people who claim doing a shitload of sport probably half ass most of it, lifting alone is enough to sap enough energy and recovery capability to make another physical pursuit very secondary (if you actually lift with intensity)

Get good sleep, hit your macros, and program active rest days instead of doing full body workouts and you'll be fine. During the aforementioned 60 hour work weeks I was on a push-pull-squat rotation six days a week with jogging/running seven days a week, so only hitting each muscle group twice in a week. For cardio I was running 10-20 minutes on lifting days depending on how I was feeling and 20-45 minutes on Sunday. I'd sometimes do some supplemental core, grip, etc. work on Sundays if it felt reasonable.

Doing a full body workout three times a week is a reasonable approach for a beginner but is generally not enough rest for an intermediate lifter. Try programming a split. This will allow you to train each muscle group more intensely while allowing for more rest in between training sessions for each muscle group. I personally like push-pull-squat.
