Most federal prisons do not have weights or any upper body workout equipment.
This includes dip bars and pull up bars.
This is because some dude did like 12 years and got swole. Got out, and beat his wife to death.
Cops blamed it on him being buff and not the extreme trauma and abuse of being in the prison system. So the feds had to show they were going to do something about it, and so they removed workout equipment from all federal facilities.
Also the argument was that they don't want to prisoners getting so buff they can overpower the cops. But the only time this happens is when the cops are on bullshit or trying to abuse us.

Now instead of being able to pump weights and release stress, people turn themselves into violent fighting machines by doing hundreds of pushups and burpees a day with endless stamina!

No coincidence that prison violent skyrocketed after they got rid of the weights!

The only stuff now is abdominal workout equipment like decline benches.

However, prisoners make their own weight: sandbags, waterbags.
I had a waterbag guy at MDC LA. They would get a plastic bag filled with water to weigh the correct weight, then sow tshirts and laundry bags over it. Then use ripped up sheets as fabric to sow a braid for the handles.

I also had a TRX rope made out of sheets but it got confiscated cause they said I could hang myself with it. (but maybe if the conditions werent so fucked up people wouldnt be hanging themselves!)

Yes but far more out of shape people than fit. Lots of fat fucks and lots of skinnyfats.
Doing endless pushups and burpees only go so far when youre in there for years.
People work out to reduce stress, not really to get fit.
But certain cars like the Surenos and Whites require mandatory workouts.
I called it family fitness.

Also if you think internet broscience is bad wait til you hear the fucked up workout advice people have in prison.

In the feds we also eat better than state or county, so people get fat. We get 2 hot trays a day.

I got fat because I realized I wasn't going home anytime soon and I used food as a form of escape. The Paisas taught me how to make burritos. I came up on a tool called a stinger that basically electrified water so you could get it to boil and use it to cook.

I got a job in the kitchen and was grubbing and smuggling food back to the unit. This southsider taught me how to make cheesecakes, and my recipes got better over time.

The last 5 months I moved to Lompoc FCI I had a bad celly that was down 20 years that fucked up my routine, so I would just stress-eat constantly. I should have beat his ass, but I was short-timing it, and was on my way home soon.

Also lots of people with overuse injuries, shoulder problems, and back problems. All those pushups and metal beds fuck up your shoulders. Having only metal stools to sit on for years fucks up your hips and lower back.

I wonder what workouts he did due to cali removing weights and i wonder what they eat do they mostly eat ramen? Apparently cali prisons removed the weights too

this one dude i met had "prison arms" bigger than tookie williams
thats why all the other races were cliqued up against us cause it takes 8-10 paisas to fight one black dude

where i was ad we still had commisary with various protein sources.

forgot to mention g that activation is important, and having the right form to make sure youre really hitting your abdominals and not your hip flexors. In leg raised think more about lifting your hips up not your legs. squeeze that ass while u do them

mind-muscle connection really helped me get a truly deep abdominal activation
