You know you need to have more muscke as a roider to be the same strength right?

It might be a byproduct of they cant lift as heavy due to tendon injury but still the kuscle deflates without consistent high test so its more like getting huge from a pump and carb/water/salt/creatine then it deflates and youre stronger.

There is this carnivore diet guru called Shawn Baker (male, 50's, claims has been on that diet for a few years) who has tested & released his testosterone level results for the public twice, and they are very low for his age. Found a thread on it where I'm taking these claims from:

I see that Shawn Baker had his testosterone levels checked while on Carnivore and they were very low (he had two tests done, one was at the very bottom of "normal" and the other was below range (hypogonadal). He felt fine, however, and hypothesized that his testosterone receptors had become more sensitive.

and another:

I think Baker has also explained, it's not just about the amount of free testosterone in your blood that matters. But about how much of it your body can actually use. Which depends on the amount of receptors you have for it.

Basically his claim is something like people on zerocarb who have low testosterone actually don't have low testosterone, increase in receptors/sensitivity just clears it out so quickly from bloodstream it can't be reliably measured, making it a non-issue. If I'm understanding what they are saying correctly.

So the initial questions requiring sources then are:

What is this mechanism caused by zerocarb diet that increases testosterone receptors?

How much has been measured this mechanism actually affects bioavailable testosterone levels?

How does it make low bioavailable testosterone levels a non-issue?

Thanks!

there are many questions, for example which meats? how much? Meat is more expensive and richer people live longer so how was that factored in? What kind of carb crops and in what form? What about diseases as well since poorer people who can't afford as much meat also have issues with hygiene such as india.

Is it true that I can get most off my energy from fats instead of carbs? Do they fill glycogen stores? That would be so much easier.
Anonymous No.76593821
Recovery is the most important factor according to my own findings. From 14 to almost 28 I slept so bad. 3-4 hours a night, waking up 10 times a night on average. Kept lifting through this from 18-28. Slow gains, always feel terrible, injuries for no reason. It was especially noticable from 18-21 because I worked out a lot, ate good and lived healthy in every aspect but sleep. 21-28 I drank so much that my slow gains can be excused on alcohol instead of shit sleep (although it's affected by both). I now live like an 80 year old. I go to bed at 8, don't drink, get up at 5 am and cut off food at around noon.
My sleep has majorly improved and I get 7-8 only waking up once or twice on average now. I can see changes in my body (less pudgy in my stomach area for example) that are positive even with working out less now. Food is still good.

Yes, however it's not that simple. Your body has a process by which it turns pure fats into glycogen and regulates your blood sugar to normal levels during periods of low carb availability, but if you aren't used to it and have never done keto you will feel like absolute shit for the first week.
And if you care about athletic performance it will take your body anywhere from 1-3 months to fully adapt to low carb and have equal performance to when you were eating carbs. There's also other changes to your body because of how fat oxidation works, personally I enjoy low carb because I don't feel like bloated shit after every meal (you have to experience this to understand it) and it makes cooking easier.

Also his blood tests show low or normal testosterone. People who inject testosterone show high testosterone on blood tests.

There's genuinely no reason to accuse him of not being natty other than being an upset vegan.

Anonymous No.76594476

The body uses fat to create glycogen.

If you eat carbs it tells your body to store fat and you lose muscle mass because the body is trying to retain fat instead of retaining muscle.
