I'm not a hater if someone wants to do it as a personal challenge, but for most people it won't be a valid long term strategy
the Bulgarian olympic weightlifting team that used this routine were probably both genetically gifted and doing stereoids like crazy, their full time job was training, so they spent 8-10 hours in the gym every day

The Bulgarian weightlifting team of that time were selected for their genetics and told if they didn't want to train like that, then they could fuckoff back to whatever factory or mine they were pulled from, working for pennies. A lot of those men ended up with fucking crippling injuries anyway and the guys that did make it had piss which could melt fucking steel beams. One chap (1980s can't remember his name) spoke about it a few years back and mentioned that on the lead up to the one of the olympic games his piss was the coulour of coca cola and everywhere he looked he could see big black spots in his vision.

Shit was well and truly fucked.
