Science-based lifting is just superior, full stop.
You don't need to do outdated exercises anymore.

This, so much this. As a science-based lifter, I can lift a lot of weight with ease after analyzing and optimizing my form for all the workouts I do. For example, I discovered that I perform optimally when my elbows are tucked at 47.91 degrees close to my torso. For squats, I maintain the same bar path, ensuring it does not deviate more than 0.31% from the previous rep. Any deviation greater than that means it's a partial rep. I also discovered that I have to drink a protein shake within a 17 minutes and 23 seconds anabolic window after working out to maximise muscle growth and repair. If you are not science-based lifting, you are unironically not going to make it.

I thought science based lifting would be min-maxing stuff like this but it's just retarded full body 20 reps workouts with baby weights with gay variants on the machines

if he's gonna be a science-based autist then why this machine? The angle is crap for both delt and pec growth unless you have a female powerlifter-style arch. You're never gonna get a good chest or shoulders with this machine alone. It's only valid use ironically enough is as a finisher following a free weight bench + OHP

>>76596188
the good parts of science based lifting (like a third) are still about that. like sure, doing cable lateral raises set at the right angle feels great and is easier to progress on. but im not taking up two fucking stacks for some bastard y-x-axis cross body raise

It's will get your everything.
Even if you calculate it right, 20 reps are more endurance based, and you haven't trained for it since when?
Also if you go with 50% of your max, that like going to actual failure at rep 20.
It WILL beat your ass.

You jest, but the reason I hate science-based lifting is, ironically, science-based. If you were to submit a college paper (at a university with any degree of self-respect) and you provided a sample size of 8, you'd be told to get the fuck out of the class. Meanwhile, it happens all the god damn time with "science"-based lifting, and is presented as some kind of profound new knowledge. Fuck them and fuck their gimmicks.

an actual study needs a sample size of thousands to ensure a diverse group. if you make a study and only use fat americans, the results are going to be wildly different than using skinny chinese dudes. often times there's no control group and no control over outside factors, and most of the time the result is "might" or "maybe".

He might be the first person who looks objectively worse from liposuction, even including all the fat lazy people who gained it all back to look the exact same afterwards.
