OHP is NOT a requirement to build big shoulders, but im sure as fuck going to keep doing it forever, because its the ultimate mogging lift

Nobody has ever approached me to say "nice squat" or "nice deadlift" but ive had dozens of people over the years come upto me randomly and say "damn bro thats fucking awesome how u can do that"

Most people who approach me to compliment me OHPing they dont even know what the lift is, they ask me "whats the lift called" - so its impressive to people who dont even know the fuck the lift even is

Nobody has ever told me nice lift; but some bros at the costco asked for my routine when I was picking out protein.

The ultimate mogging lift is clean and jerk.

Other way around for me. People seem impressed by my deadlift and hip thrust, even though they are mediocre. My ohp and bench are much better but normies don't know or give a fuck. They see a couple of plates and are unphazed and see a bunch of them on a much easier lift and are blown away.

it is a display of strength, flexibility and coordination

I think being lazy is super duper important for gains because ive been putting on size every session even if a tiny bit. I bet its cns fatigue that causes less gains or something idk.

Eeeeeeh i guess if youre saying its better to only put weight on the bar and not do hypertrophy and its better for strength i cant really argue with that. However, i can only put so much weight on a lift before i have to work on hypertrophy so it isnt all cheat reps not that you cant get better yearly gains cheating the rep so you arent awkwardly avoiding having a conversation with some dipshit who is gonna tell you how it is.

Is 5x8-12 a bad rep scheme?
