is wrestling a good sport to train for self defense?

Yes.

Of course. Wrestling and its variants (like jacketed wrestling) are all great for self defense.
Human beings have relatively weak limbs and you are not very likely to knock or be knocked out unless for lucky shots or by surprise. There is very little someone not trained can do to stop someone with a little training from charging at him to get close enough to clinch. From there, just throw their head on the pavement.

No, you wanna stay on your feet

In reality 99% of the guys who initiate violence, the ones you're defending yourself against, are complete bitches and won't fight like men. They're either gonna pull a knife or have 3 or 4 buddies backing them up. You always gotta be ready to run brah. Either that or carry a gun

Ill just increase my hand speed and power tyvm, i wanna be able to beat 2 people up which is logically easier since theyd be getting in eachothers way and think they are gonna have an easy time whereas i can use that as an advantage.

Boxing is not as good if youre super weak, wrestling is exponentially harder the heavier your opponent is, but with striking if youre competent has a much higher skill cieling.
