it's a sagittal plane movement that's relatively easy to perform and measure, there's nothing magical about it and while it will definitely makes you stronger, you might end up getting really humbled and disappointed after trying out your strength outside of the gym
my point is it's pretty useless to be obsessed about dl and your numbers in dl if you want to be strong-strong and are not interested in competing in PL
