I would prefer to be as strong as possible AND as light as possible. But besides muscle mass your endocrine system also simply lowers function basically any time you get hungry besides to reset insulin resistance or whatever.

Please at least bulk for a week at a time if youre cutting heres a program for you and lower bench freq and do more narrow grip incline or mp if chest outpaces delts/upper chest.
>ABA rest AB-whatever, then cut and add refeeds until recovered
>bench 3x3, rows/pullups, chest/widegrip 2/3x4-8, whatever else
>whatever heavy shoulders 4x4-10, biceps, typically upper chest work and do some sets of shoulder biased form, tris

Also just add rear delts a lot, abs and legs i save for when presses and back are toast to keep the surplus high. You get the idea bigger muscles take more time to recover and grow. Benchmaxxing allows you to get further since everything else is way easier.

Being higher bf% doesn't mean you can bench more or do better at any lift. The exception being you get better at pullups, jumping, and running at lower bf%. I've gone from like 12% to 9% because of my job schedule sucking and none of my lifts have gone down despite losing 12lbs of fat. My muscles are bigger or at least appear that way due to the fat coming off. Veins and abs definitely more visible. Don't worry about a pretty number on a scale when in reality you perform better and look better at lower bf%

Some people struggle to show ab definition, kinda like people struggle to show or build particular muscles of any type: insertions and far covering.
Some people hold less fat in areas than others, likewise, some people have muscle insertions that show the muscle more.

Lol i know how to cut effectively its just that why even cut. You only have so much time to make frame gains until test is super high for long enough and your bones harden from heavy weights. On top of that joint socket size would grow disproportionally to bone size like a roider and itd fuck with biomechanics leading to injury. I'm 5'3" so I don't have a choice. Underweight feels extremely good on a gigamanlet frame. Insane gas mileage and you can just backflip and walk up walls like a lizard. Underweight for me is 120 something lbs though. Mf's just brushing you aside and women seeing you as one of them for it is not worth it. Life started at 150lbs for me and I want 175.

I am with you, but rather than many body weight crunches, you ought to train your abs like the rest of your body. Weighted crunches heavy enough to only do 15 reps max you feel me? Leg lifts in a similar boat. No goofy military style stuff, or overly long intensive sets. Those become more like a form of cardio eventually. If you want serious size train it like you train anything else for size and strength. not against cardio btw, I cycle 2-5 hours every week.
