with 2 light dumbbells - neck is anchor point to muscles responsible for shrugging shoulders, so perfect posture - extended thoracic and double chin for cervical and shoulders straight up and hold this isometric hold for upper traps sternocleidomastoid and dozen other neck muscles
it works, none of my t-shirts fit anymore, some are straight up impossible to wear lol
problem with conventional shrug is that people bob their head forward and thoracic spine is collapsed into flexion cause they use way too much weight and just roll shoulders forward and bob head forward craning their neck and it doesn't work what it's supposed to
i fixed it by mind muscle connecshun to multifidus
