Also, if you can't hold a deadlift with your hands, you shouldn't cheat with straps. God didn't want you to lift so heavy, if he wanted he would give you stronger grip and fingers.

I look exactly like that and do it exactly like that (except jerking the head). Currently at 3 x (5 x 120 kg) but slight lower back bend at rep 5 on the last 2 sets with 5 minute rest inbetween.

i agree with this. however, the hullabaloo over lifting weights in a gym is a bit silly. whether you're doing that, or lifting a log outside or exerting x amount of force to dig a hole or whatever (natural) activity you're referring to, you'd still be stimulating muscle growth to the same degree. it's like saying someone shouldn't practice shooting at a shooting range before shooting in nature.
