Hey, first off, I've gotta say that using triple parentheses is just not cool. They're an antisemitic trope and have no business being here, especially since they have nothing to do with alcohol marketing. People have been drinking forever, all over the world, and they're gonna keep drinking with or without ads.
Honestly, I'm personally against marketing for pretty much anything people consume—food, cigarettes, alcohol, you name it—because I think it's a really dangerous thing. If it were up to me, all food would be sold in plain brown paper bags with no pictures. It’s just too easy to influence people with today’s technology, and nobody should be manipulated when it comes to their personal health and what they put into their bodies.
Getting back to your question, historically, men have just consumed more alcohol than women, so it makes sense that ads would reflect that. Plus, until pretty recently, men's testosterone levels were super high despite all the drinking, so you can't really say that alcohol is the cause or the goal of the advertising you're talking about.
