I always see in short videos (yt shorts, tik toks, etc) that doing dead hangs heals everything short of cancer and that you can progress on it and bla bla bla.
started doing dead hangs like 5 months ago, I can still barely get to 1:30 mins, and I don't feel better in any way shape or form other than I can hang for a bit longer now.

still fucked, and for some reason it gets worse when I do straight leg raises on a straight bar.

still fucked
>lower back
still fucked
>grip strength
negligible progress
>spinal "decompression"
I don't even know what the fuck this is supposed to do, but after hanging it feels nice on my spinal column for like 20 seconds, big whoop

dead hangs are the snake oil of "fitness", if you ignore literally the million different supplements which could qualify infinitely better as snake oils that is.

I do and my shoulder/back have healed. I alternate between passive and active neutral grip hangs. I don’t know if one is better than the other. Maybe one of you scholars can educate me.

It depends what you're trying to fix. Dead hangs basically just stretch some ligament sout a bit making more space for your rotator cuff to move freely, so if you have a collapsed coracoacromial arch or whatever impinging on the rotator cuff then it will help. If you shit is fucked up in other ways it probably won't do much.
