Any advice on coping with carrer ending injuries?
Kick boxing was/IS my life, but as life has gone on I dislocated my shoulder 5 times and tore the shit out of my adductor. I got surgery on the shoulder, but it's still way weaker. The leg is just straight up crippled compared to the other.

Any tips or advice on coping with gnarly injury? Motivation to actually try and do PT exercises. I am 31 an no longer trying to be a mother fucking kick boxer any more. But I still love the way the training and striking makes me feel.

Can't you do physiotherapy?
Or just do it for fun. Maybe let others know, find a group or other half cripples that are willing to start their own group?

Thanks for the reply. I can do physiotherapy. Have done it. Been released but I'm still unbalanced and weak. They just said "well yeah, you're just gonna have to do these for the rest of your life to maybe get to 75% of what you were instead of the 60% you're currently living at"

At that sucked all the fun out of exercise for me. So whenever I shadow box or hit the bag or what ever and feel pain, I just think "this is stupid and irresponsible, I should be doing those physio work outs that suck and I hate and that I don't feel benefits from instead"

and again, sucked any enjoyment out. Any advice on sticking to the physio exercises? I live alone and work full time so I don't have much free time before and after work. Literally maybe 30 minutes to an hour max. So that's why I'm so burnt as well.

Haven't had major injuries but rows and face pulls help keep your shoulder locked in when pushing.

Oh man yeah those line right up with some of the physio work outs that they gave me. Any of you guys have more exercises for adductor strength and shoulder stability.

It doesn't sound like you had any kind of career to begin with.
