Grew up on great lakes, dad always fishing. If I never eat another bite of salmon it is too soon. Deens for the win, the Portugese ones. Tuna only if fresh.

Sprats or Mackrel since I'm a Slavcel

I've read somewhere that UStanis consider Mackrel to be a trash fish. How come? It's very tasty and has a lot of good fat.

There is no debate. Sardines have around 3 times as much O3 while also having 10 fucking times less mercury. Sardines also come with edible bones, which makes them one of the best sources of bioavailable calcium.

You only eat tuna if you're retarded and poor.

Tuna is creamy and yummy with mayo. You can't put mayo on sardines, it's icky.

Non-issue if your water intake is adequate. You can piss out excess uric acid, you can't piss out mercury.

the past 4 days the only meal I've had for lunch and dinner is stir chicken breast cooked with a can of sardines in tomato sauce that I crush. I mix it with rice and eat it with a shit ton of sauerkraut on the side. I love it

I loved sardines by themselves even before I knew how healthy they were. The dish came about because I was looking for other ways to easily flavor stir fried chicken breast for low calories. I was using salsa then marinara then I remembered about sardines in tomato sauce. The reason I've been eating just this for the past few days is cause I'm testing out all the brands available to me

Some, but heavy metals in general have the nasty property of making their way into tissues, at which point you are not getting them out without chelation therapy, and even that doesn't get rid of them entirely. Uric acid doesn't have that issue.

very fishy flavor with a lotta pinbones. Things like salmon, seabass, and cod have one fat fillet that you can eat whole, also doesn't smell nearly as strong.
Burgers like their meat to be as removed from the animal as possible. That's why highly processed items like chicken nuggies are so popular

like both but prefer deenz. didn't know tuna had more mercury I thought all seafood was risky for it or something. time to start eating deenz more regularly then

>didn't know tuna had more mercury I thought all seafood was risky for it or something
It depends on where the fish is in the food chain. Deenz are bottom feeders that mostly feed on plankton, including algae rich in O3, which is why they are O3 rich themselves and have little mercury.

Tuna on the other hand are higher in the food chain, often apex predators, feeding on other fish. These other fish have also fed on other fish, including their mercury, so each next link in the food chain will have progressively more mercury and diluted O3. This is also why apex predators like shark or swordfish are very high in it.

Se for me, except I cant get over salmon or trout.
Reminds me of my childhood where my mom cooks the salmon on the pan and have rice soak up the fat after.
Eating that crunchy salmon skin last is pure bliss. Goddamn, I'm hungry.
Anyway, as for >>76639968 (OP) I'd go with sardines, non filleted specifically, for that sweet collagen boost.

This statement is in complete opposition to the hunting culture of the USA
Anonymous No.76644218 [Report]
I prefer the taste of deenz, but all fish is good.

>>76643821
Calling bullshit on this because the "culture" is such an insignificant part of the population that it doesn't matter if hunters use all of the animal. The overwhelming majority of Americans don't even connect that the meat came from an animal, it's been so processed. Beyond some outgroup cultures (especially poor ones), there's not really a desire for people to use more of the animal than whatever processed meat is chosen for them. Hell, even when I go charter fishing the guys running the trip will fillet the fish on the boat so all you're going home with is something that could have gotten at the supermarket if you hadn't just killed it yourself.

I eat both at least once per week. Between the two, I would strongly advocate for sardines. I love them. They are a perfect snack, and contain high protein and micros. They also have much fewer heavy metals than tuna, but be cautious. If you are eating bullshit-brand whey protein (or even worse, beef protein powder,) and also enjoy deenz recreationally, then you might be overdoing it on arsenic. There is about as much arsenic per serving of whey as there is in a can of deenz, and that is not counting whatever else you eat in a week. Make sure your shit is good, and manage your diet accordingly.

I am also a big fan of canned cod, mussels, mackerel, kippers, and other fish.
