My unpopular opinion is that I don’t care how fit the person giving advice is. I judge the information on its own merits rather than who it’s coming from. Some people have god tier genetics and can be jacked from the most retarded routine and nutrition. Some people are genetically fucked even thought they have an elite understanding of training and nutrition.

Eric is a good cautionary tale for how important self-restraint and discretion are to lifting and any physical activity. You cannot ride on sheer energy and enthusiasm. You eventually get hurt.

he was training to be way bigger than he needed to be, and he slammed straight down on his feet at a fucking weird angle doing some dumb shit. his training, or lack thereof in wrestling safety, caused his injury.

No? You don't even know what you're talking about. His quad tendon gave out because the weight of TWO GROWN MEN jumping on his shoulders in a rehearsed move was too much because the second guy missed and it threw him off balance. His quad muscle literally fired so hard that it ripped the tendon to shreds. He was literally TOO strong for his tendons because of the roids, his training was TOO effective.
If he ever gets injured in training we can talk about "restraint" in lifting.
